New Flooring

​There were many improvements happening at Kenduiwo Orphanage in 2019. Along with the new beds several floors were being replaced with new tile. The main hall, kitchen and the boys dorm all had new tile layed. Once we saw the beautiful blue floor the boys were enjoying it was time to raise funds for the girls dorm floor which was installed in the spring of 2020. The color chosen was a beautiful pink!

Tea Field

In 2017 we sat down with Rev. David Koech, director of the Kenduiwo Orphanage who explained their desire to improve a tea field planted on the property. If the field plants could be increased and tended to better health, the field had great potential. If the tea is picked and sold the profit could be enough to purchase food for the children every month! ITL raised funds to purchase new plants and help fund the cost of field workers to tend to the plants. This is an ongoing project for ITL, if you are interested in helping please donate today!
PROJECTS
New Beds for Kenduiwo Orphanage

In the summer of 2019 ITL partnered with Camp Lutheryn to purchase all new bunkbed frames and bedding for all the children of Kenduiwo Orphanage in Bomet, Kenya. The children at summer camp and their families donated the necessary funds and with logistical assistance from our Kenyan partner and board member, Pauline Ngigi, frames and bedding were purchased from local businesses and delivered to the orphanage in October. Many of the children were sleeping together in the old smaller beds but now they are so happy to have beds to call their very own.
